![]() Flying Face portrays that part of the face that we recognise as the person. It is the part we mask when we hide our identity. The forehead and remainder of the head and body are anonymous - not us- and yet this mask of the persona hides the "true face" the true identity of the person. This is the self that is the world. Here before we were born, and there after the person is gone. Flying face is trying to depart and find the transcendental self but it is too heavy and inseparable from the ground and earth. Flying Face is not recognisable as a particular person because it is all persona, the archetype of the identifiable person. Look into a mirror and take away the naming and what do we have? Look closely and who do we find? |
